[Music Lovers] - Lovers of Wisdom
The below post is frrom Mark.
Off to Madison today to run some errands.
First, we will rendezvous with Jeff Jagielo. He will put in our hands a copy of the latest Squarewave recording called “Throwing Stones”. Galynne sings on it. Squarewave describes their music as “Dark, melodic, Baroque pop”. Buy it from CD Baby, turn it up and float away……
Second, we will go see a performance. Hamell On Trial is a one man band made up entirely of one man named Ed Hamell. He sing songs and plays the guitar. Most of his tunes are funny, a few are very serious. All of them are entertaining as hell and very insightful. This is a house concert and all are invited. Find the info on Ed’s myspace page or call me. 715-630-8775
After that we are hoping to catch Lorenzo’s Music at Cafe Montmartre. Awesome, cabaret style, rockin lounge act. Scott Beardsley is the finest drummer I know, he also did the art work for Galynne’s “Every Little Part”. Happy to say that we are sold out of that. The next batch of CD’s are being pressed as we speak. It will include a preview of the next album, an important song called “Lovers of Wisdom”. ”Every Little Part” is of course available 24 hours a day for immediate download at itunes. Anyway, Lorenzo’s is one of those amazing Madison bands that only play a few times a year. We are excited!
